Garry and his professional attitude and attention to detail will make him your inspector of choice. As an inspector he performs no more than two home inspections on any day, to ensure that your inspection has his undivided attention.
Caring about people and their experience, coupled with his innate desire to help others to ensure their home is safe, is what drives him to take the time to inspect the home as if it were for himself or for his mother.
He considers himself to be an educator, as well as inspector. His focus is on educating the home buyer about the true condition of their property. He enjoys helping his clients understand the way their home works and knowing they will benefit from his knowledge.
Garry Mitchell, TREC # 23406, is a Texas Real Estate Commission licensed Professional Home Inspector, which is the highest inspector designation in the state. In addition to being a member of InterNACHI and The Texas Professional Real Estate Inspector Association – Houston Chapter, he has earned the CPI (Certified Professional Inspector®) designation.
Garry grew up in a small village in Northern Ireland. After spending 2 years at technical college studying construction management, at the age of 18 he moved to London England spending 7 years there as a Bricklayer (Mason) and then moved to Germany for a year before returning to his native Northern Ireland. While there, he spent several years as a project manager overseeing many new construction and remodeling projects.
In 1999, he moved to Houston where he met his wife (Julie) and they have a beautiful daughter. In 2003, they move to Katy and have lived there since. Before becoming a home inspector, Garry spent many years managing several jobs as the owner of a remodeling company which was started in 2002. His hometown family values were instilled at an early age. These same values affect his decisions as he strives for excellence, and the integrity by which he handles running his business today. Being in construction for over 30 years has been a great learning experience which helps him with his inspection business.
When your inspection is complete, you’ll be happy to discover he also believes in top-notch customer service. A thorough report with accurate descriptions and images with be delivered to the homeowner and he will always make himself available to address any concerns you might have.
He maintains current licensing and registration, and pursues ongoing education to stay on top of the latest developments in the inspection industry today.
